Parinaz Ziai Bahadori is an architect-turned-artist and creates art in various genres including still life/landscapes, abstract paintings and work inspired by the calligraphy and poetry of her native Iran.

In 2020, MOSS Building & Design was honored to collaborate with the Bahadori Family on the remodel of their family home in Great Falls, VA.

Join us on November 13, 2021 to see the culmination of both vision and execution in this unique home, adorned with worldly influences, ambient light and distinct design, much of it influenced by the art and experience of Parinaz Bahadori.

The Home... by MOSS Building & Design

A beloved family home, passed down from generations, provides many emotional attachments for both the former and current homeowners. So how do you decide to update portions of the home to allow better usage of space for your family but also retain a connection to the special décor and distinction of the past?  

This was the situation for Parinaz and Bob, who purchased their multi-acre, beautiful Great Falls home from family several years ago. With a focus on remodeling their home’s exterior and interior to fit their lifestyle today but also with a real and deep intention to reuse family heirlooms, original features, and more from the past, this remodel is a truly special showcase of how MOSS Building & Design gave this family the remodeled home that they wanted while retaining nods to their home’s unique originality and family connection. On November 13, we will open the doors and invite you into a Home & Studio Tour that will delight and inspire!

While visiting, feel free to shop the art collection in GrayBarn Studio, enjoy sipping our seasonal cocktails or varietals, and charcuterie for grazing. Sit a spell by the pool, at the studio or enjoy the sunny seating overlooking the fall foliage.

Parinaz Ziai Bahadori is an architect-turned-artist and creates art in various genres including still life/landscapes, abstract paintings and work inspired by the calligraphy and poetry of her native Iran. Her work has been featured in local magazines and exhibition venues. Recently she received  three awards at the Chevy Chase Women’s Club juried art show where her work placed first place, second place and honorable mention in three different categories.

To benefit Project Turquoise, a local non profit  organization founded originally to help Syrian refugees based in Camp Zaatari in Jordan. Project Turquoise has provided numerous educational scholarships to teenagers living in this refugee camp. They have also sponsored dental missions to help train the residents in basic dental care. Currently Project Turquoise is also helping other displaced peoples such as Afghani refugees in the Washington DC area in partnership with Lutheran Social Services. www.Project-Turquoise.org

Bani Adam - Human Being in Persian... by Parinaz Bahadori

This piece plays with intertwining and abstracting the letters at the start of a well known and inspiring Persian poem of the 13th century poet Saadi. The poem states that all humans are connected as though parts of the same body. If one limb is in pain the rest of the body suffers as well.
